We reached the orbit of Mulciber IX with no problems. Our preliminary scan results on the planet's surface showed no hostile installations and we proceeded with the reconnaissance as ordered. Our patrol squad has been deployed near the Iris V field, to avoid the ongoing storm in the region of Achilles.
After two days on the planet, our patrol task force came across some weird readings on their scans and followed their trails but only to find themselves moving in circles. It seems that the ongoing electromagnetic storm on the planet, is messing up with our Auger Array scans.
We engaged the enemy and they seemed as surprised as we were, for not being alone on this planet. The combat was fierce.... bla bla
I believe that this patrol force was not alone on this planet and there must be a reason why they are here and its surely not by a navigational mistake.
They seemed they were looking for something.
